Tour to the European Lithium Mine in Wolfsberg on September 16, 2022 (Fully booked)

In view of the electromobility boom and the increasing demand for efficient electricity storage media, lithium is on everyone's lips as an essential component of batteries. The "oil of the 21st century" is also becoming increasingly important for the EU member states, which are completely dependent on other regions for their lithium supply. But there is hope: the most advanced project in Europe so far is in Wolfsberg (Carinthia), Austria. Put on your rubber boots, switch on your lamp and – together with owner European Lithium – plunge into the mine that reaches 1.5 kilometres deep into the mountain. CEO Dietrich Wanke, who has three decades of international experience in leading positions in mining, will guide you through the mine and show you where lithium veins run and where lithium has already been mined on a test basis. During the tour, you will learn the basic principles of lithium mining as well as the special features of the deposit in Wolfsberg.
