Visa-free entry to China

As of April 2025, China has significantly updated its visa policies to facilitate international travel and strengthen global ties. Notably, from November 30, 2024, to December 31, 2026, China has expanded its unilateral visa-free entry policy to include 38 countries, allowing ordinary passport holders to enter China without a visa for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, or transiting, for stays of up to 30 days. ​More info please see China Foreign Ministry homepage.

Exemption of visa requirements does not mean permission to stay and reside in China for an indefinite period of time. Please check with local Chinese embassies for detailed information.
